Re: ff14
Is it? I was watching a stream of someone starting it and the first 30 minutes I watched was spent running around talking to NPC's and I got bored and left.
There is no charge for Awesomeness. Or Atractiveness.

It's a mmo. You're not going to get a good feel for the game in 30 minutes. :) The game is spent in your first city for the first few quests though. Just to teach you the basics. It's good though. Surprisingly deep. You just have to stick with it for a bit to get into the meat of the game.

Any character can be any class, and swap between the different classes, level them, etc. Some abilities carry over between classes, too. Some classes have to be unlocked by leveling up a combination of jobs. For example, I'm working towards the bard class, so I have to level archer to 30, and pugilist to 15 to get access to the unlock quest.
The group finder works well. Leveling is accomplished through a variety of means. It has the open group quests (called FATE in this game), like in GW2. It has the traditional quest/turnin system like WoW. If you dig grinding out levels, each faction/class has a hunting log that sends you to various locations to kill a certain number of mobs.
It adjusts your level to suit the level of your group, or FATE, or whatever. They took a ton of features from other MMOs and incorporated them into theirs.
I could keep going, but it's really a great game if you go into it with an open mind. Especially after playing the first version... god that was a train wreck.

For those who expressed interest, Ragnarok server. It's pretty high population, so sometimes character creation will be closed during peak (EU) hours. If you get this issue, just give it a bit, and try again. It's not a permanent thing.
My character's name is Discordant Voice. We've got an unpossible free company (guild), so you could search by that as well. Only a handful of us though. :)
