Yeah, really hope this POS laptop can run it or I will be chomping at the bit all week.

The IGN review (first one) had a ton of extra content talking about the character interaction and combat dsign that got me pumped up.

First impressions: Beautiful game. The graphics, even on my aging laptop are very nice. Sadly it is a bit jumpy, and control is a bit of an issue for me right now. Combat so far is fun, finishing moves with the skyhook are a laugh. Excellent music/audio. On my home rig thats got a lot more horsepower, this will be something else.

That said, MAJOR BEEF. WTF is up with a checkpoint save system? I got into a bit of combat, and decided to exit since I've been awake 21 hours and am messing up. Well, guess what? All that combat so far? Too bad. Not part of the checkpoint.

Somewhat irritated at the save system right now.

Otherwise, this looks like it will be a stellar story. As always, it pays a bit to explore to find more story bits, so dont be shy to wander if your not running for your life. The game will funnel you where you eventually need to go (so far).

So I finally finished the game. Excellent experience beginning to end. Definitely will have to go again sometime and get the last couple journals I missed.

This game is so much better on pc. Picked it up today after trying it on the console for a bit. Night and day. Loving it.

Dat ending. Don't click on the spoiler if you have any intention at all of playing through the game

Play. This. Game. To completion.
Spoiler! :
The only thing I didn't predict before the end was that Booker sold the girl to cover the debt. Everything else I got. Comstock, his relation to Booker, Elizabeth's parents, etc. I had the feeling that something was awry with Booker's perception of reality with one of the voxaphones that talked about altering reality to fit an idea.

That ending was masterful. Just masterful. You think you have everything figured out, then bam. Rapture. Wtf. 10/10 will play again, soon

Yeah. I watched the entire ending again yesterday since your last save puts you on the end sequence. Very powerful.
Spoiler! :
Also, the Rapture part is just bastards, since we all remember that Rapture on lockdown was only controllable by 1 person..

Can pick up the first two games for 5 bucks on Amazon. Codes are redeemable on Steam, too.

Just wrapped up my second playthrough. Such a good game. Sit through the credits, too. ;)
Spoiler! :
Lady Comstock was super easy. Handymen, everything else, cake. I ran with a heavy sniper build (+crit damage, +damage when aiming down sights, +mag size) with sniper/shotgun as my main arsenal.

Hardest part of this playthrough was the last fight. Surviving the mobs wasn't a big deal, the generator's health though, goes down pretty fast. But! Return to sender shields can prevent it from taking most damage outside of rpgs. Toss down a bunch of return to sender shields around the generator, and it will buy you a bunch of time. Also! On the double patriot waves, leaving one of the weaker mobs up while killing everything else will prevent the next wave from spawning. Really trivializes the fight.

Definitely worth a second playthrough.

FYI, the season pass gives you 4 new armor items in the bar, and 5 infusion bottles right there. Some of the new armor is pretty OP.

Hell, I may play on hard this time.

Yeah. I picked it up. Apparently some of the upcoming DLC is going to be narrative. New characters, settings, etc. Kinda like Minerva's Den in bioshock 2.

Yeah, I had not seen it on the store before until it showed on Citrates list. Picked it up cause I really want to see what other story they do since I liked the main one so much.
